"Ruu's Realmtroduction" (fusionbikes)

after a long day in my bike shop i (Mira) was resting. there was a tandem, a unicycle and a bicycle and some more unused cycles and parts.

but when i came back after delivery and opened the locked door i met something strange. there was a girl on the unicycle. they didnt look like they were human, their reaction was a bit off.

after closer inspection i found that their feet were fused with the pedals. "no biggie" but their butt was also mounted to the seat.

i stood there confused, she balanced herself in place. but she needed clothes. i walked inside and locked the door behind me. i had no time to wonder why its there or how that happened. i just ran upstairs and grabbed my shirts, then i ran back and asked her to put it on, she didnt know how so i helped her.

i couldnt tell what their exact ages were but guessing based on appearance i think they are 12 to 15, but otherwise i didnt care for that. they had almost no mentality and only seemed to know how to move their body.

i needed to teach her, almost anything, and so i did, starting with english.

she was a quick learner, and i called her "Ruu" there was no reason for that name. and they seemed to want to go outside. sure i said.

once they were outside they were speeding in front of my shop that also was my house. even after an hour of doing things they didnt seem to get tired. the neighbors were confused at the sight. "since when did you have children in your family" one of them asked. i politely ignored the question.

i went to bed but they played outside in the night. i asked them to come inside and they complied.

the next day, i found Ruu curled up on the ground. Ruu was a little cold from it, but that is something that i can fix with a heater. after heating i asked why shes here or how she came to be. she shrugged it off saying she didnt know.

i took some notes, "my unicycle had now a girl on top of it"

i grabbed my own bike and wanted to show the city to her. she rolled outside and i walked with my bike. i mounted my bike and began driving. "follow me!"

i showed her the neighborhood school, she waved at the children playing outside (i thaught her some gestures), and i showed her the ice cream shop, very important. i told her to wait outside while i went and get ice cream.

while in line i saw a stranger approach, they didnt seem malicious but now i had a dilemma, do i sacrifice my spot in the line to protect her or do i wait and let it play out? i just let it play out, she didnt look unconfortable and the stranger seemed normal. i heard them talk though the noise of the ice cream shop.

once i paid for the ice cream i went up to them. "she can keep ber balance very well" they said when they saw i was Ruu's caretaker. i said "yes, she's a naturally born unicyclist" i wasnt wrong with that statement, but they didnt understand the double meaning.

after we left i showed Ruu the waste disposal site and the temple. and then we went back to the bike shop.

she learned some stuff during the trip, i also taught her about siren vehicles and that they are who have road priority. and to how handle strangers.

once i parked my bike she began saying that she would get a brother. "uhh sure". i also made her a crib, twas not much but she didnt complain.

at the third day our first customer came in, they wanted me to fix their bike. i looked to see whats wrong and Ruu said its the back brakes. the customer asked how she knew but Ruu didnt answer, probably because i have not explained native levels of understanding, which i think she used due to her bike fusion.

Ruu fixed the brakes, but i told her to not fix anything else if the customer did not agree to have it fixed. i wouldnt want the customer to pay for something they didnt care for.

once Ruu was done, she notices another issue and told me about it. i forwarded it to the customer with the messahe that she should be done now. the customer tested the back brakes said that they would like to pay. i told Ruu and she took a sad face, not that i am one to deny when a customer says its done.

i told the customer that it was 15u of currency and it was paid.

Ruu felt a strange presence in the air, coming from the bike next to my bike. and then it happened, there grew skin from the saddle, and from the pedals, the legs seemed to know where they would connect. and an upperbody grew on top of it. the kickstand vanished. and the boy on the bike began to cycle itself. he looked at Ruu and then at me.

i said "sign, back to teaching another bike how to be human" before Ruu interrupted me and interacted with thatch, i decided to call him thatch, again there was no reason for that name.

they even started to develop personalities. Ruu seemed to grow a playful showboat personality while thatch kept a more realistic grounded one.

after i taught thatch the same as Ruu i found that he might have been born in a broken bike. but then parts grew from him like he did to the bike. i knew they were bikes, but didnt know they could regenerate parts, but that saves me on parts, so i didnt mind.
